Duncan Brown

Chairman

Duncan spent five years as CEO of SU Queensland, a parachurch youth and children’s ministry employing more than 260 staff across Queensland. Under Duncan’s leadership SU’s revenue and staffing levels more than doubled from around $4 million to $10 million; equity grew significantly; and SU gained footholds into new donor markets including conceiving and building Queensland’s largest fundraising dinner. Prior to his time with SU Duncan worked in an associate editor capacity with News Limited in Melbourne and as a senior journalist with the Rural Press Group in Queensland. He has a Bachelor of Arts majoring in journalism and PR and Bachelor of Ministry degree. Duncan is currently Senior Pastor at New Peninsula Baptist Church in Mornington, Victoria.

Michelle Farrall

Managing Director

Michelle worked for Melbourne’s leading communications agency Royce Communications as Strategy Manager, developing marketing and communications strategies, brand strategies and positioning, public relations, media liaison, research, event management and issues management. Clients included Nike, Coca-Cola, Sensis (Yellow Pages, Trading Post), SPC Ardmona, Coles Myer, Pacific Brands and the Victorian Government’s Play it Safe by the Water Campaign. In the past four years with Capacity Builders, Michelle has created compelling research, brand and communication strategies for more than 30 Christian organisations. Michelle has a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with Distinction from RMIT. Michelle attends ‘Red East’, a small Church of Christ in Box Hill.

Arthur Conomos

Strategic Planning & Governance Consultant

Arthur has extensive experience in strategic planning, governance and mediation work. He has 13 years’ experience as a CBD accountant, working primarily in the areas of business development and strategic planning. He spent nearly a decade working for Bracken Ridge Baptist Church in a pastoral/ leadership role and was board member and chair of Scripture Union Qld. In recent times, Arthur conducted a review of Global Interaction’s General Director and board; an administration review for SU Qld and New Peninsula Baptist Church; an ongoing "coach" to board of directors of Christian architectural company (including facilitating board retreats); and conducted strategic planning workshops for Baptist World Aid Australia, The Leprosy Mission Australia and Empart Australia.

Allison Brown

Copywriting/PR

Allison’s career began as a journalist in rural South Australia but the lure of federal politics proved too great. After eight years as media, event logistics and protocol adviser to federal politicians including the Hon Alexander Downer MP, the Hon John Anderson MP, the Hon Peter McGauran MP and former Prime Minister, the Hon John Howard MP, Allison sought a ‘soul’ change. Allison became Media Adviser at Anglicare Victoria, writing speeches and articles for CEO, Canon Ray Cleary, and writing articles for the Melbourne Anglican and Alive Magazine. She then became Head of Public Affairs at Make-A-Wish Foundation Australia, conducting media campaigns, government lobbying, fundraising, research, rebranding, and the writing of the charity’s 20th anniversary book. Allison has also written communications for Lost Dogs’ Home, Cancer Council Victoria, Mercy Health & Aged Care, Royal Flying Doctor Service, Heart Foundation and Scope.

Tim Hein

Strategic Planning Consultant

Tim is the Minister of CitySoul, a new missional church in the Adelaide CBD. He has worked for over ten years with diverse catalytic churches and organisations including a large evangelical church, a large pentecostal church, and an emerging church plant. He was previously on faculty at Tabor College Victoria, and also spent several years living in community and ministering through Concern Australia and St Martins with John Smith (God's Squad). He is currently SA Director of Arrow Leadership Australia, is on the UCA-SA Leadership Development Council and the Board of Seymour College (formally PGC). He speaks often at churches, conferences and colleges. He has a Bachelor of Ministry, a Master of Ministry Studies and is a Graduate of the CDC at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Graham Clarke

Strategic Planning Consultant

With over 15 years’ experience working with churches and not-for-profit organisations, Graham is passionate about fueling ministry environments that release potential. As a leader, Graham has initiated and overseen significant cultural and organisational change in a number of varied contexts.   He currently serves on the boards for both Christian College Geelong and Sola Ministry College and is an Executive member of the Geelong Pastors Network. Most recently Graham was invited to participate in the Leaders for Geelong program - a peak body for leaders from across the business, political and welfare sectors. Graham has a Bachelor of Education and is completing a MA in Christian Leadership and he is the Senior Pastor of Barrabool Hills Baptist Church in Geelong, Victoria.

Angela McMahon

Communications/Fundraising Consultant

Angela is a trained marketing specialist with a wealth of experience in the corporate and not-for-profit sector. With over 15 years' experience, she has worked for small and large global organizations in the UK and Australia. Her experience includes roles within marketing strategy, communications, campaign and database management including four years as a marketing specialist with Reuters, the global information provider. Angela recently spent over three years at World Vision Australia as Marketing Manager developing the marketing strategy and communications plan to engage Australian Churches. She has a post graduate diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the UK.
